The 440 space west riding house multi storey car park at albion street and bond street in the heart of the leeds city shopping centre is to be refurbished under a partnership with q-park ltd.
Following the surrender of a historic lease and agreement for a new 30 year lease to Q-Park Ltd, owners Moorfield Group (Moorfield) in partnership with Holbeck Land have announced a £1m plus upgrade commitment to commence early in the new year.
High quality lighting and enhanced security will be an added attraction to shoppers heading to the West Riding House retail offer and the adjoining Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre.
Paul Makin, Moorfield, said: "Our decision to introduce Q-Park to lease and manage the car park is an important step in the wider refurbishment strategy for West Riding House. Leeds is experiencing a City Centre renaissance with the highly anticipated Trinity Leeds and Leeds Arena and we look forward to working with Q-Park to deliver a car park to complement the city centre transformation."
Ian Barraclough, Holbeck Land, said: "We are delighted to welcome Q-Park as a new tenant partner. The investment by Moorfield has delivered another key tenant adding to the recent letting of 31 Bond Street and four office floors released from a rolling programme of refurbishment."
Adam Bidder, Managing Director of Q-Park Ltd comments, "We are extremely pleased to have taken over the management of West Riding House car park, this is an exciting addition to our existing portfolio in Leeds City Centre. As the city continues to develop, we hope that customers will benefit from the forthcoming car park refurbishment and will enjoy using our parking facilities, which provide convenient access to all areas of the city."
Moorfield and Holbeck Land were advised by car park consultant Parking Matters.
